I personally find this hilarious, as I got volumes 1 and 2 from a local comic store last week. Since there had been no announcement about a printing for Volume 3, and I was so eager to see how it ended, I got the Zinio copy.
Normally I would chide myself for being impatient, but this story was so great, I couldn't have waited much longer. And I'm totally okay with paying for it twice, as I inevitably will when the print version is released.
I think you're being overly harsh on yourself by talking about "unpolished edges." The way you work with tropes and plot twists is amazing in the series, and the dialogue (monologue?) you write for the narrator is so entrancing and brilliant.
Anyone reading this should drop whatever they're doing to read this series. I'm personally glad to have it in print and to be able to pass it on.
I believe huzahs are in order upon this occasion. HUZAH! *FIST!*
Amazon had vol. 3 available for pre-order, which I of course did, but a few days ago I got an email more or less saying "Fuck you for wanting to have nice things-- you can't". Or something like that. So I was just about to buy the Zinio version when, well. Sorry about that, bro.
