STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO

I was lucky enough to be asked to create the 2010 Ship of Fools Tour poster for the awesome band Streetlight Manifesto, seen here with a design assist from lead singer/guitarist Tomas Kalnoky. It was a rad experience!

...annnnd here's one more X-men for the week (fully clothed(ish)). Poor Rogue.

That Band Poster at the top reminds me of the anime One Piece a bit, back when I read it they had just introduced this character that was a living skeleton with an afro, so it reminds me a bit of the One Piece crew.

Walter: Yeah, that would be totally awesome!

Mike: THANKS!

Jacopo: A T-shirt would be fantastic! Doing an X-book would be fantasticER!

John: I've never read One-Piece, is it worth checking out? For me this poster is a big-time Mignola nod.

Ian: Agreed!

ooooh man! I love Streetlight Manifesto! Is there any chance that the picture will be available as a print? Because I will be all up on that.

That poster most definitely has a deep Mignola vibe, which... hell yes. I do think whatever is going on in this image would make a wicked comic. Well done.

Thanks, guys! I won't have prints of this, but there is a good chance there might be something along those lines at one of the shows, or maybe somewhere else at some point. I'll try and link to where, if anything pops up.

JOHN G: Thanks, your show posters are ALWAYS of much majesty!

Hi Dan, stumbled across your stuff randomly. Kudos for doing something with your talent, but why are you wasting your time copying Mignola's look? It's been done. Be your own guy. Best of luck in the business.

Thanks for the thought, Anonymous Person!

i just got back from their concert in dallas and saw this poster hanging in the club window. its now the wallpaper on my phone haha. if i had had a little extra cash at the time, i would've bought the tshirt, but sadly i did not, and unfortunately i can't find the tshirt in their store. oh well, great job designing this!

I heartily enjoy your art style. Just saw a poster from the same tour go up on the Streetlight store (the blue one with the beards and the hook hand), and bought it because the art was amazing. I'm a huge Mignola fan, and so that appeals to me, but there's a sort of cartooniness that makes it stand out. I will certainly look for some of your stuff at the FLCS. Keep up the artin'!
