This is cool. Hey Dan are you on Twitter?

No, not on Twitter. Know I probably should be for professional reasons, but also know I shouldn't be for professional reasons:) Meaning I'm not good at managing online stuff and getting work done, hence no Facebook either. BOOOOO!!!...or YAYYYY(?)!!!

You stuff is off the CHAIN, man! Found it through the MillarWorld post. Really cool stuff!

Looks sweet (thought I recognised that dialogue!)

The Western overtones of Gyakushu! worked excellently, so doubtless this would be cool.

I find it hard to believe NO ONE would want to publish this...!

Kyle, thanks!

dnwilliams: Thank you, glad you picked that up in GYAKUSHU! In all fairness, I haven't shown this around much at all, so I don't know that NO ONE would publish it. It was more of a personal decision for what my next project should be. I just spent three years putting GYA! together, and I LOVED it, but it'd be nice to do something (content wise) that gets more exposure, if that makes sense...

Still, if any publishers come along and want me to do a western, I'd be okay with that:)

Dan - you should just go for it. I feel like if you had this in front of a publisher, why wouldn't they pick it up? Your work totally f'n rulz.

if it matters at all, I'd buy your western. So that's one in the bank.

This looks awesome love the colour scheme too. I just started getting really into the old (and new) westerns, so I'd love to see more of this.

A separate question altogether: Are the Renoir versions of your books translated into Italian? Because I heard from the Robo guys that the Renoir books are really nice, but robo was in italian so I assume Gyakushu! is too.

Thanks, Workhorse! Yeah, we'll see, I'd love to come back to this, but there are other grand stories in the works, so whatever happens, happens...

John: Thanks! Yes, the Renoir editions are in Italian and look 'effing awesome! They put together a boxed set that I provided the art for. I'll post a picture of that soon...

It's just I'd really like the awesome boxed set, but I don't speak Italian, so I'm stuck waiting for the american one to come out. You couldn't convince the Renoir guys to do both english and italian versions?

DAN HIPP said...

That would be nice, but Tokyopop is still exclusive to the English version. To be continued(?)...
