GYAKUSHU! BEGINS...

So here it comes, the big preview I promised. But first...

GYAKUSHU! is something much different than I've ever tried before, in that it's a serious story. Here is how TOKYOPOP (the publishing company) describes it in the latest edition of PREVIEWS...

"A nameless man stands alone in a field of fresh corpses and carnage. The battle may be over for now--but his one-man war has just begun! Mystery and intrigue surround this warrior, as clues to his past lead to a chilling confrontation in his future. The truly inventive setting may or may not be earth...may or may not be the future or the past--The only certain thing in this world of ice and death is white-hot revenge!

Tarantino fans will love the bloodletting and non-linear storyline, while Frank Miller fans will appreciate the creator's straightforward, but stylized art."

Yeah, not terrible to be mentioned in the same sentence as Tarantino and Miller, but then again, those are the words of the publisher. Hopefully you'll give it a shot in February and decide for yourself. Until then, here's a taste. The world premiere preview of the project I've been slave to this last year: GYAKUSHU!

Commentary and pre-ordering information to follow said preview...

And so it begins. Not to say those are the opening pages though. Hopefully you're intrigued and can't wait to order the book. WHAAAAAAT? You just can't wait and need it now? Well, here's some ordering information for you...

Or certainly support your local comic book store and order the book through them.

The entire book is practically 200 pages and has a handful of swell extras in it. About half of the book is illustrated as shown in the pages above, while the other half is painted in watercolor...

It'll all make sense once you read the book. So give it a chance and pre-order it from one of the links above.

And make sure to check back for more behind the scenes of GYAKUSHU! as we get closer to February.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week...
